This is the good site which i observed for tracing the mobile type in india,but it willbe more helpfull if the details of the mobile number is visible i.e name and contact. Even if it is a payable site also there is nothing wrong. To control the crime on mobile phones always the tracing is required.

This is a static database of the place where the mobile is originally registered, and NOT of the place where it is presently in. This will help figuring out as to where a particular number series is registered (which city, and which operator).

Its very nice to have such a service. The only thing that concerns me is that are these details of the current location of the sim or it is the location where the sim card got registered. Also if the locality like the closest mobil station can be found out..then it would be nice to trace it at the time of theft.
